Starr appoints Hassan El Kaissi as SEO & Regional President, Middle East

Starr Insurance, a provider of commercial property and casualty insurance, has announced the appointment of Hassan El Kaissi as Senior Executive Officer (SEO) & Regional President, Middle East.

Based in Dubai, El Kaissi will oversee all lines of business Starr writes across the Middle East. His focus will be on expanding Starr’s footprint, strengthening relationships, and delivering tailored solutions for the market’s evolving needs.

El Kaissi brings more than three decades of re/insurance industry experience. He joins Starr from Tysers, where he served as Director – MENA Strategic Development.

Previously, he worked at Zurich Insurance, where he was responsible for driving profitable growth in the Middle Market segment throughout the Middle East, while also providing leadership across five country branches: Lebanon, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain.

El Kaissi also held various senior roles at Walaa Insurance, AIG, and Chedid & Associates.
